Prime Minister Chính Attends the Inauguration Ceremony of the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant

According to VOVWORLD – On the afternoon of the 27th, in Thai Thuy District, Thai Binh Province (northern Vietnam), the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) held the inauguration ceremony of the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ceremony.

In his remarks, Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that the completion of the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant will contribute to ensuring Vietnam’s energy security, especially in the Red River Delta region. He also called for the safe and efficient operation of the plant.

Covering an area of 130 hectares, the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant has a maximum capacity of 1,200 megawatts, making it the largest power plant in the Red River Delta region. Once fully operational, it will be able to supply about 7.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
