(VOVWORLD) – On the afternoon of the 20th, Session 7 of the G7 Hiroshima Summit, themed “Common Efforts Towards a Sustainable World,” was held, with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attending and delivering a speech.

During the session, Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that sustainable development, climate change response, emission reduction, and energy transition can only be achieved through a global approach, multilateralism, national self-reliance, and extensive international cooperation.

He also highlighted the importance of ensuring fairness and rationality by considering the different conditions and development levels of countries, maintaining a strategic balance between the transition to clean energy and global energy security, and creating a fair, diverse, and practical energy transition roadmap in accordance with market rules.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Chinh stressed that human resources, science and technology, and innovation are core drivers of sustainable development for all countries and key factors for rapid and steady growth. He called on the G7 and international organizations to support developing countries in technology transfer, institutional and infrastructure development, human resource capacity building, governance, and the establishment of clean energy development ecosystems.

He also affirmed support for Japan’s “Asia Zero Emission Community Initiative” and proposed that the G7 and partners walk alongside Vietnam in a fair energy transition partnership, supporting the growth of Vietnam and the region as renewable energy hubs, and the broad participation in clean energy-related industries and the circular economy.
