Ambassador Naoki Ito’s Courtesy Call on Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs
On August 15, Ambassador Naoki Ito paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs and met with Minister Dao Ngoc Dung.

During the meeting, Minister Dung congratulated Ambassador Ito on his appointment and highlighted that the number of Vietnamese workers living in Japan has nearly reached 570,000. He also cited a Vietnamese proverb, “Good birds gather in good lands,” and stated that Japan-Vietnam relations are at their best.

In response, Ambassador Ito expressed his gratitude for Minister Dung’s leadership and conveyed his expectations regarding the high-quality Vietnamese workforce, while also requesting continued support for Japanese companies and workers operating locally.

Furthermore, both sides exchanged views on the establishment of training and employment programs, the expansion of the specific skills examination, and the conclusion of social security agreements, confirming their commitment to further developing Japan-Vietnam cooperation in the human resources sector.
