Request for Quotation: Banana Exports to the Japanese Market

Requirements:

• Packaging: 18 kg box

• Quantity: Approximately 45 hands per box

• Hand Size: 3–4 bananas per hand

• Banana Weight: 100–150 g per banana

• Price: Ex-factory price for minimum order quantity

Quality Requirements:

• No pesticide residues.

• When harvesting, the banana bunch stalks should be neatly cut. Selected bananas should be positioned upright in the bunch to form a cylindrical shape.

• Bananas should reach a certain ripeness level (about 85% maturity post-harvest).

• Flesh should be soft and elastic, adhering to the peel, without bruising or damage. The bananas should retain a certain amount of latex, which can stretch into transparent threads.

• Banana stalks should be cut close to the bunch, the cut surface dried, and treated with suitable preservatives to prevent decay.

• Bananas should have a bright, undamaged appearance with no black spots or scratches. If present, defects must not exceed 2–3% of the total shipment.
