(VOVWORLD) – A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended the Global Gateway Forum, held in Brussels, Belgium, on October 25–26, at the invitation of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

During the High-Level Dialogue on Green Transition and Energy Transformation on the 25th, Deputy Prime Minister Ha emphasized that green energy and green hydrogen play an important role in addressing climate change.

He affirmed that Vietnam, one of the four countries that have established a Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) with developed nations, is ready to cooperate with other countries to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by sharing its potential and strengths.

At the same time, he stressed that developed countries need to enhance technology transfer, strengthen the provision of green finance, support human resource development, and share governance experience in order to help the world achieve the goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
