Medical Equipment Handover Ceremony at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion

On April 18, Secretary Shohei Sasaki of the Embassy attended the medical equipment handover ceremony held at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

Under this grant aid project, 19 types of medical equipment (worth approximately 2 billion yen) will be provided in three phases to four hospitals in Vietnam — the National Lung Hospital, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and Da Nang C Hospital. These supplies will be utilized to strengthen Vietnam’s infectious disease control measures and its medical service delivery system. This ceremony marked the first phase of the handover.

At the ceremony, Deputy Director General of the Department of Medical Services Administration of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Cao Hung Thai, along with representatives from the four hospitals, expressed their gratitude for the support and stated their intention to make full use of the provided medical equipment to improve the quality of healthcare services.

Following the ceremony, Secretary Sasaki observed how the donated medical equipment was being put to practical use at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

【Lễ tiếp nhận trang thiết bị y tế tại Viện Huyết học và Truyền máu Trung ương】

Ngày 18 tháng 4, Bí thư Sasaki Shohei, Đại sứ quán Nhật Bản đã tham dự Lễ bàn giao trang thiết bị y tế được tổ chức tại Viện Huyết học và Truyền máu Trung ương.

Hợp tác viện trợ không hoàn lại lần này cung cấp 19 chủng loại thiết bị y tế (tương đương 2 tỷ yên) chia làm 3 đợt cho 4 bệnh viện tuyến trung ương (Bệnh viện Phổi Trung ương, Viện Huyết học và Truyền máu Trung ương, Bệnh viện Nhiệt đới Trung ương, Bệnh viện C Đà Nẵng) nhằm tăng cường năng lực khám chữa bệnh, đối phó với dịch bệnh truyền nhiễm. Lễ bàn giao hôm nay gồm các chủng loại hàng hóa viện trợ thuộc đợt 1.

Ông Cao Hưng Thái, Phó Cục trưởng Cục Quản lý khám, chữa bệnh, Bộ Y tế cùng đại diện lãnh đạo và cán bộ của 4 bệnh viện đã phát biểu cảm ơn sự hỗ trợ của Nhật Bản đồng thời cam kết hoạt dụng những trang thiết bị được hỗ trợ để nâng cao chất lượng khám chữa bệnh. Bí thư Sasaki cùng các đại biểu đã đi thăm quan thực tế các trang thiết bị được viện trợ và đang được sử dụng tại các đơn vị trong Viện Huyết học và Truyền máu Trung ương.
